I grew up in central London to the most conscientious Doctor parents around, Mum and Dad have always shown me what working hard and enjoying what you do is all about.

I was lucky enough to spend a lot of my childhood in North East Essex, where I became obsessed with sailing and the sea.

Skip forward to my late teens and I was training and racing internationally, determined to compete at the Olympic Games one day.

It wasn't until I started my Olympic campaign in 2018 that I learnt to finally deal with the pressure I put on myself and learn to enjoy the major internationals. Throughout my youth sailing, the lack of sleep from stress, the constant barrage of self criticism and the consequential poor results were pretty torturous. It may be a cliché but learning to deal with all that has been the greatest development in my life.

I'm currently a full time kitesurfer on the British Sailing Team, pushing to win a medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
